Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The information here, and on any third-party tool linked from this site, may not be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Background checks for those purposes must go through an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
This site is privately operated. It is not a court, sheriff’s office, or government agency, and it does not issue or serve warrants or maintain official case records. It points readers to the Circuit Court Clerk for county court records, the Sheriff’s Department for county service questions, and municipal offices when a city citation is involved. Tennessee’s TIES, TCIC, and NCIC systems are restricted to authorized agencies, not public warrant-name searches.
Accuracy of Information
Public offices may change phone numbers, hours, addresses, fees, and procedures. County docket pages can also change, and a paper or third-party result may not reflect a later court action. We make a reasonable effort to keep contact information and descriptions useful, but details can become outdated. Before traveling or sending payment, contact the office named on the notice and follow its current instructions.
Warrant Status Changes - Verify Before You Rely
A warrant is a living record. Warrants are issued, recalled, quashed, served, and sometimes sealed, and a status can change from one day to the next. A search that comes back clear is not proof that no warrant exists - a warrant may not have been entered yet, may sit with a different court, or may not appear on a public list at all. A listing you saw last week may not reflect what the record says today. Before you act on a warrant's status - or its absence - confirm it with the sheriff's warrant unit or the court that issued it.
Treat any result as a starting point. For county court status, contact the issuing court or Circuit Court Clerk; for county service questions, contact the Sheriff’s Department. Each can speak only to records or operations within its role.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. For a county court record, contact the court or Clerk’s office that maintains it. The Sheriff’s Department can address county service and custody questions. If a citation names a municipality, ask its public office to identify the correct custodian. Tennessee does not provide a public self-search of the restricted TIES, TCIC, or NCIC systems.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. These pages describe general DeKalb County and municipal records routes, but cannot explain how a warrant, charge, bond, or court date applies to a particular case. A licensed Tennessee attorney can advise about legal choices, including a surrender, bond, or court motion.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party companies. We do not control what those tools return, how they price their services, or how they handle data you submit. Results from those tools may be incomplete, outdated, or matched to the wrong warrant or person, and they carry the same FCRA restrictions described above.
Outbound Links
We link to county and city offices, court information, Tennessee agency material, and third-party services. We do not control the content, accuracy, or availability of an external site. Review its information and privacy terms directly before relying on it.
No Records on This Site
This site does not host warrants, warrant lists, case files, or court records. It provides contact guidance for the offices that may hold them. Use the issuing county court or Circuit Court Clerk for a county docket question, and the Sheriff’s Department for county service matters. For a city notice, begin with the municipality named on the document.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me if there is a warrant for me?
No. This site does not host an official warrant system. The issuing court or appropriate county records office handles a court-record question; the Sheriff’s Department can route a county service question. Start with the county warrant search guide to identify the right contact.
Does a clear result mean I have no warrant?
No. DeKalb County does not publish a single public name-search roster that covers every court and city. Ask the issuing court or records custodian directly about the relevant file.
Who can clear or recall a warrant?
Only the court that issued the warrant can recall or clear it. Talk to an attorney and the issuing court.
