Why We Built This Site
DeKalb County does not publish a single public name-search portal that can confirm every warrant. Court files and service operations belong to different offices, and a municipal citation may sit outside the county clerk’s records. We built this site to make that local division easier to follow. The pages identify the Circuit Court Clerk’s county record role, the Sheriff’s operational role, and the town contacts where local matters may start. They also explain what a public-record request can obtain and where a question needs to go when the court name is uncertain. A result on an unofficial site cannot replace confirmation from the responsible office.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant inquiries: how to identify the right county record contact and ask the issuing court about a case
- Current status: why active-warrant questions need confirmation from the office responsible for the record
- Missed court dates: how bench-warrant process depends on the court that set the case
- Charge-based process: how arrest-warrant records move between the court and law enforcement
- Other local routes: county traffic and municipal-court pages, along with the separate city pages, describe where each inquiry begins
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a DeKalb County court or law-enforcement office. There are real limits to what these pages can do:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, change a court date, or schedule a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
For county court records, contact the Circuit Court Clerk; for county service questions, contact the Sheriff’s Department. A town-issued citation should go to the town office or court identified on its paperwork. Each office can answer only for the records it maintains.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results, and their data is not an official warrant check.
